Action Plan Execution
Beraca Institute guarantees Action Plan implementation by the constant application of appropriate and innovative methodologies.
Participatory planning is Beraca Institute's premise to work in the territories in which it operates. When promoting productive chains in a community or region, we established a dialogue to think together with leaders and the community their future in various aspects: income, environment, health, education, infrastructure. This methodology aligns with the precepts of participatory planning, and bets on community mobilisation and sensitisation. It consists of workshops in which technical and local knowledge can interact to guide decisions and, from these joint decisions, implement partnership projects reaching the socio-environmental impact results agreed.
Beraca Index diagnosis the potential supply of non-timber forest products, developed by Beraca Institute to allow assessing the potential of a community to provide non-timber forest products (or agricultural products) before we begin to foment the productive chain through production, social organisation and management. Beraca Index allows investors and donors to be more confident of the community's supply potential, even if development investments are needed.
Monitoring & Evaluation
